Welcome to Charlotte Mason Beehive

Hello everyone,

I am so excited to welcome you to my own little corner of this virtual world. Thank you for joining me. It is my hope that you will find the information contained here to be helpful and of good value.

But first, let me introduce myself.

I’m Rachel, imperfect follower of Christ, wife to one, mother of two, and the founder of Charlotte Mason Beehive. I like drinking tea, collecting vintage books, and going for longs walks with my family through the endless fields and countryside surrounding our home.

We live in Middle England, at the very heart of our ‘green and pleasant land’, surrounded by hills and vales, woods and streams, and where we are so blessed to be able to spend so many of our waking hours in the outdoors, exploring fields; disused railway lines and quarries; wild woodlands, rivers, and lakes.

I have been an ardent Charlotte Mason enthusiast for several years now and am so blessed to have discovered the method while my children are still little (thanks in no small part to the amazing women (and men) who have dedicated so much of their time in getting the Charlotte Mason message out there; I am and always shall be greatly indebted to them for setting me straight on this path).

We are still exclusively in the early years (which I love!), and are now entering the final few months before formal lessons begin with my soon-to-be six year old daughter. I’m excited to begin formal lessons but also a little sad at how fast time is going by. I also have a very teachable three year old son who loves to learn and will no doubt be wanting to join in when the big stuff finally begins.

Charlotte Mason Beehive is the culmination of several years of research, passion, and inspiration, by which we hope to to provide a comprehensive and straight-forward resource for home educating parents, primarily located in the United Kingdom, who are following the Charlotte Mason method of education. New content will be released regularly but this website will not be treated like a blog, but as a living resource which will hopefully save parents time and frustration in finding the information they require quickly and efficiently.

I’m so thrilled to be a part of this wonderful journey, alongside all of you, united in our great admiration and respect for Charlotte Mason and her invaluable contributions to the world of education.
