Making use of time charts is an excellent way to introduce your child to the passage of time in an accessible and engaging way.

Included in this collection of Time Charts for Form I is ‘A Child’s Own History Chart’, ‘A Date Chart’, and four iterations of the ‘Timeline’, as described by Winifred Irving in her P.N.E.U. pamphlet entitled ‘Notes on Making a Time-line’. Also included is an article by Rachel North detailing exactly what these timelines are, how to make them yourself, and how to use them.

Description

Making use of time charts is an excellent way to introduce your child to the passage of time in an accessible and engaging way. For Form I students the three most prominent Time Charts that teachers in the Parents’ Union School used were:

  •    A Child’s Own History Chart
  •    A Date Chart
  •    A Timeline

In this download we have included our own interpretation of all these Time Charts for you to use in your own homeschool, as well as an article by Rachel North detailing exactly what these timelines are, how to make them yourself (if you wish), and how to use them.
